Acceptance trials begin for future Polish Navy minehunter

Remontowa Shipbuilding in Gdansk has begun conducting acceptance trials of the second of three new Project 258 mine countermeasures (MCM) vessels that the company will supply to the Polish Navy.

The future ORP Albatros is presently undergoing trials that will determine the performance of its navigation systems, propulsion, and deck equipment. The current two-day trials period will end on Tuesday, June 16, while the second series of tests will last four days beginning on Friday, June 18.

The future Albatros will be operated in the Baltic and North Seas.
