Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) of Kolkata held simultaneous keel-laying ceremonies for three future vessels slated for the Indian Navy on Friday, June 17.

GRSE laid the keels of a large survey vessel (SVL) and two anti-submarine warfare shallow water craft (ASW SWC). The vessels are being built in fulfilment of contracts for four SVLs and eight ASW SWCs awarded to the same shipyard in October 2018 and April 2022, respectively.

GRSE is manufacturing the SVL and the two ASW SWCs in partnership with compatriot shipyard Larsen and Toubro.
