Ozata Shipyard of Turkey has launched the final unit in a new class of four refuelling ships being built for the Turkish Navy.

The vessel and its three sisters will be used to provide refuelling support for navy and coast guard ships as well as ships of friendly nations. The first two ships in the class have already been delivered while the third is nearing completion.

The vessels will have enhanced manoeuvrability and will be able to transfer fuel and fresh water to other ships in harbours, docks, channels, and anchorages.

Each ship in the class has a length of 49.85 metres, a beam of 9.2 metres, a speed of 15 knots, an endurance of three days, and capacities for 200 tonnes of fuel cargo and 39 tonnes of fresh water. Equipment will be available to allow the transfer of fuel cargo and fresh water to two other ships simultaneously.
