Canadian builder Stanley Boats has been selected to build a new rescue craft for the Grimsby Auxiliary Marine Rescue Unit (GAMRU), an all-volunteer marine search and rescue (SAR) organisation based in Grimsby, Ontario.

The aluminium boat will have a length of 7.9 metres and two Honda BF225 outboard engines that will deliver a maximum speed in excess of 40 knots.

The new Stanley rescue craft will replace the GAMRU's Zodiac 6.7-metre boat which is scheduled to be retired from service in 2021.
