Norwegian firm Norsafe has released a new high-speed, multi-mission rescue lifeboat, the Marathon 900 RHIB-D.
Norsafe said the vessel's rigid bulwarks and D-fender configuration created increased deck space. The deck layout with cargo tracks is optimised for user-specific configurations.
Designed so that all the main controls and switches are within direct reach of the pilot position, the 9.57-metre vessel is made from glass-reinforced vinylester. It has a radar arch to reduce vibration and damage to electronic sensors.
With a maximum load of 1,350kg, the vessel has shock-absorbing seats, grab-rails, robust anti-skid surfaces in step zones, and work lights.
Norsafe said open scuppers on both sides of the stern make the cockpit effectively self-draining.
