The Royal Thai Navy recently placed an order for a new Z-drive tug to be built by local shipyard Asimar.
The Robert Allan Ltd-designed vessel will join two other near identical sister tugs in Royal Thai Navy service. It will have a length of 32 metres, a bollard pull of 55 tonnes, and a speed of over 12 knots.
The tug will also be fitted with a 2,400m³/hr FiFi pump, two monitors, and oil spill recovery equipment.
