Saam Towage will soon take delivery of a new Turkish-built tug to expand its operations in Chile.
Mataquito II has already completed acceptance trials, which is the last stage prior to commissioning. The tug has already departed Sanmar Shipyards in Tuzla and is scheduled to arrive at Valparaiso after a 45-day transit.
Mataquito II has a length of 29 metres, a beam of 13 metres, and a bollard pull of 82 tonnes. It has also been granted Escort and Fifi1 class notations.
