Karachi Shipyard, Tor Group to collaborate on tug newbuilding

Pakistan's state-owned Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW) and Turkish builder Tor Group have entered into an agreement wherein KS&EW will construct a new 48-tonne bollard pull tug with Tor support.

The tug will have a length of 25 metres, accommodations for 16 crew, and FiFi1 firefighting equipment.

The vessel's design was provided by MacDuff Ship Design of Scotland.
