Fourth Project MPSV12 salvage vessel delivered to Russian Marine Rescue Service

United Shipbuilding Corporation's (USC) Nevsky Shipyard handed over a new 80-metre, shallow-draught salvage and rescue vessel to the Russian Marine Rescue Service on Wednesday, December 15.

Piltun is the fourth example to be built under the Project MPSV12 series of emergency response vessels. The newbuild will operate in the Baltic Sea out of the Marine Rescue Service's Arkhangelsk branch.

The vessel's other duties will include towing, firefighting, and oil spill response.
