Compagnie Maritime Chambon gets new Turkish-built escort tug

Marseille-based harbour services company Compagnie Maritime Chambon recently took delivery of a new escort tug from Turkey's Bogazici Shipyard.

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed Cyathea has a length of 30 metres, a beam of 12.6 metres, and two MTU 4000 1,500kW main engines that deliver a bollard pull of 50 tonnes and a free running speed of 12 knots.

The tug is also equipped for firefighting.
