Wasaline's new Ro-Pax ferry Aurora Botnia was floated out at Rauma Marine Constructions' shipyard in Rauma, Finland, on Friday, September 11.

The vessel will be powered by four main engines that could operate on either LNG, biogas, or batteries. The batteries will be used primarily when approaching or departing from a harbour.

Aurora Botnia will be completed in the spring of 2021, after which it will operate between Vaasa in Finland and Umeå in Sweden.
