Philippine ferry operator Trans-Asia Shipping Lines unveiled its newest vessel on Saturday, March 2.

Named Trans-Asia 19, the Ro-Pax vessel was built in Kegoya, Japan, and delivered to the Philippines in November 2018.

A length of 67.6 metres and capacity for 450 passengers and up to 20 vehicles make Trans-Asia 19 the largest vessel in Trans-Asia Shipping's current fleet.

The vessel has already begun plying the Cagayan de Oro-Tagbilaran-Cebu ferry route.

Company president Arthur Kenneth Sy has confirmed that an even bigger vessel is scheduled to be delivered in November of this year.
