Stena orders additional two ships and given option for four more

Stena has exercised its option for two more vessels to be built at AVIC Weihai Shipyard, China.

Stena has also taken an option on the construction of a further four vessels.

The two new ships on order will be larger than the three designs currently being built for Stena Line.

The first three ships will be 215 metres long with 3,100 lane metres whilst the next two ships will measure 240 metres with a freight capacity of 3,600 lane metres.

The two vessels will be deployed within Stena Line's route network with a planned delivery in 2022.
