Stena Line has invested €5 million (US$5.58 million) to refit and renovate two of its vessels in anticipation of increased passenger traffic along the ferry route between Rostock, Germany, and Trelleborg, Sweden.

The upgrade programme will focus on the cabins and public spaces on board the Ro-Pax ferries Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Skåne.

Stena Line said that the works will commence at the end of December 2019 and are expected to be completed before the peak of the 2020 passenger season.
