Scandlines orders ferry for Puttgarden-Rodby route

Scandlines has entered into an agreement with Cemre Shipyard of Turkey for the construction of a new double-ended Ro-Pax ferry for the route between Puttgarden in Germany and Rødby in Denmark.

The LMG Marin-designed vessel will have a length of 147.4 metres, a beam of 25.4 metres, a service speed of 18 knots, and capacity for 140 passengers and up to 1,200 lane metres of freight across two vehicle decks. Power will be provided by a hybrid electric propulsion system.

Delivery is scheduled for 2024.
