Finnish shipbuilder Rauma Marine Constructions has laid the keel for the future Aurora Botnia, a Ro-Pax ferry ordered by Kvarken Link for Wasaline.

The ferry will have capacity for 800 passengers and 1,500 lane metres for cargo.

Aurora Botnia will operate between Vaasa in Finland and Umeå in Sweden following its delivery in the spring of 2021. It is slated to replace Wasa Express on this route.
