Nevsky Shipyard launches second Project PV22 ferry for Sakhalin-Kurils route

Russia's Nevsky Shipyard has launched a new Project PV22 ice-class Ro-Pax ferry for local operator Sakhalinlizingflot.

Named Pavel Leonov, the vessel is the second of two Project PV22 vessels to be built for Sakhalinlizingflot for service between Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands.

The ferry will have capacity for 146 passengers, an 895-cubic-metre hold for vehicles and other cargo, and two cranes for self-loading and unloading.
