Meimon Taiyo Ferry takes delivery of large-capacity Ro-Pax

Japanese operator Meimon Taiyo Ferry has taken delivery of a new Ro-Pax ferry from Mitsubishi Shipbuilding.

Ferry Kyoto is being operated by Meimon Taiyo on behalf of the Japan Railway Construction, Transport, and Technology Agency (JRTT). It is also the largest vessel in the operator's fleet with an LOA of 195 metres, a gross tonnage of approximately 15,400, and capacity for 675 passengers and up to 302 vehicles.

The newbuild has already begin sailing on a regular route between Osaka and Shinmoji in Kitakyushu.
