A keel-laying ceremony was recently held at China's Jinling Shipyard to mark beginning of the hull assembly for a new ferry ordered by German operator TT-Line.

The 230- by 31-metre ferry will have capacity for 800 passengers and up to 200 vehicles.

The vessel will be the first LNG-powered ferry in the TT-Line fleet. It is one of two in a series ordered from Jinling Shipyard in late 2018.
