Hankyu Ferry christens, launches first ship in new Ro-Pax series

Fukuoka-based operator Hankyu Ferry held a christening and launching ceremony for its newest vessel at the Enoura facilities of Mitsubishi Shipbuilding on Friday, August 2.

The 195- by 29-metre Settsu will have capacity for 663 passengers, 277 trucks, and 188 cars. It is the first unit in a planned series of Ro-Paxes ordered by Hankyu Ferry from Mitsubishi Shipbuilding.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery in February 2020 and will serve the Shinmoji-Kobe route.
