First in new series of luxury Ro-Paxes handed over to DFDS

Chinese state-owned shipbuilder Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) formally handed over a new Ro-Pax ferry to Danish operator DFDS on Thursday, December 9.

The Lloyd's-classed Aura Seaways is the first in a new series of luxury Ro-Pax ferries built by GSI for the same customer. It will operate primarily in the Baltic Sea.

The newbuild measures 230 by 31 metres and has capacity for 600 passengers and up to 4,500 lane metres of freight.
