Finnlines has introduced one of its larger vessels to operate on its existing service between Finland and Sweden.

The Ro-Pax vessels Europalink (pictured) and Finnswan have already begun sailing on the Naantali-Langnas-Kapellskar route. The initial evening voyages on the route sailed out of Naantali and Kapellskar, respectively, on Thursday, January 27.

Finnlines said the cargo capacity on the route will increase by 1,200 lane metres and passenger capacity by over 100 up to 554. In addition to a significant increase in capacity, the refurbishment of public areas will further increase travel comfort and onboard services.

Europalink joins sister vessel Finnswan, which has been operating on the route since 2018. Finnlines said the entry of Europalink means that both morning and evening departures offer the same capacity and a uniform service concept and facilities for all customers.

Europalink replaces Finnfellow, which will move from Naantali to the Malmö-Travemünde route.
