A group of five people including four small children were rescued by the crew of a passing Ro-Pax ferry after their boat had gone adrift off the Isle of Wight on Saturday, June 20.

The Wightlink ferry Victoria of Wight launched one of its lifeboats to evacuate the five individuals from the small boat, which had become entangled in lobster pots and had drifted farther away from shore.

The rescued adult and children were safely brought aboard the ferry by 19:20 local time on Saturday. All five were later handed over to HM Coastguard personnel, which then brought them to shore.
