A Ro-Pax ferry formerly owned by Stena RoRo has been sold to Philippine conglomerate Chelsea Logistics and Infrastructure Holdings Corporation (CLC).

The 195-metre Stena Nova arrived in Manila for delivery to its new owners on Tuesday, March 9. It will be operated by 2Go Group, a CLC company specialising in long-haul inter-island services.

Stena Nova was completed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 2003 for use by Japanese operator Hankyu Ferry, under which it sailed as Yamato.

The vessel spent a long period of cold lay-up in Malaysia prior to its purchase by CLC.
