Philippine ferry operator Cokaliong Shipping Lines formally welcomed the vessel Filipinas Cagayan de Oro into its fleet on Saturday, January 26.

The 85.76- by 14.6-metre vessel is the ex-Ferry Toshima, a 2000-built Ro-Pax which used to sail under a Japanese operator.

Filipinas Cagayan de Oro's inauguration brings to 13 the number of vessels currently in active service with the Cebu-based Cokaliong fleet.

The vessel will depart on its maiden voyage under Cokaliong on February 2. It will serve the Cebu-Cagayan De Oro ferry route on weekends while the company's Filipinas Janga will ply the same route on weekdays.
