Italian shipyard Cantiere Navale Visentini (CNV) has floated out the second of two LNG-fueled Ro-Pax vessels it is currently building for Baleària.

Named Marie Curie, it will be the second LNG-fueled ferry to operate in the Mediterranean. The first will be its sister, Hypatia de Alejandria.

Both vessels have a length of 186.5 metres, space for 810 people and 150 motor vehicles, and a maximum speed of 24 knots.

Meanwhile, Hypatia de Alejandria is set to begin sea trials in December prior to its delivery in the first quarter of 2019.
