Chinese shipbuilder Funing Heavy Industry has delivered a new all-electric sightseeing vessel ordered by Fuzhou Liangjiang Sian Passenger Transport Company.

Named Molihao ("Jasmine"), the vessel has an LOA of 27.66 metres, a beam of seven metres, a design draught of only one metre, a depth of 1.9 metres, and space for 102 passengers across two decks.

A full charge of the CATL 840kWh lithium battery will allow the vessel to sail 70 kilometres at speeds of up to 9.4 knots. The battery propulsion also generates only minimal noise, ensuring passenger comfort during excursions.

The onboard facilities include a cabin on the main deck and an observation lounge and a conference room on the upper deck. The layout of the conference room may be modified to accommodate various types of private events.

Molihao was designed by the Yangtze River Ship Design Institute in compliance to China Classification Society rules. The vessel will be operated along the two rivers of the city of Fuzhou with stops at Shangxiahang, Yantaishan, and Jiangxin Island.
