Incident response teams from Indonesia's Basarnas search and rescue (SAR) agency and other local groups have found the last two missing victims of a vessel capsizing incident that occurred off Central Java late last week.
The two deceased individuals were among the nine people who perished after a tour boat laden with 20 passengers keeled over in the waters of the Boyolali Regency on Saturday, May 15.
The boat reportedly overturned after all 20 passengers suddenly moved to one side in an attempt to take a group photo while en route to a floating restaurant. Eleven survivors and seven victims were pulled out of the water by responding SAR teams in the hours following the capsizing.
The recently recovered victims have been brought to two local hospitals for their identities to be confirmed by authorities.
Investigators are still working to determine whether the boat's operators had been negligent with regards to ensuring the safety of the 20 passengers.
A local police official has stated that the boat was being operated by a 13-year-old when it capsized.
