A new coastal sightseeing vessel ordered by Chinese operator the Dalian Cultural Tourism Development Group has been launched into the water for the first time.
The steel-hulled Laohutan was built by Wuxi Oriental Shipbuilding Research High Performance Boat Engineering and classed by China Classification Society.
When completed, the vessel will have an LOA of 55 metres, a beam of 12.8 metres, a depth of 3.55 metres, capacity for 300 passengers on three decks, and two main diesel engines. Its area of operations will encompass the waters off the city of Dalian in the southern portion of Liaoning province.
