Netherlands’ Riveer orders two electric ferries from local yard

Dutch ferry operator Riveer has awarded the Holland Shipyards Group a contract for the construction of two electric ferries in a series.

The CoCo Yachts-designed newbuildings will each have an aluminium hull, a length of 35.3 metres, a beam of 7.3 metres, and capacity for 200 passengers including passengers traveling with bicycles.

Construction will start in November 2021. Deliveries are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022.
