Bermuda government orders ferries from Singapore builder

The Government of Bermuda has awarded Singapore-based shipbuilder Strategic Marine a contract for the construction of two catamaran ferries in a series.

The ferries will be used for both commuter and tourist sailings. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Each ferry will have all-aluminium construction, accommodations for up to 550 passengers, and designated wheelchair spaces.
