Monaco-based Silversea Cruises formally named its newest ship in a ceremony in Piraeus, Greece, on Wednesday, July 28.

Silver Moon is the ninth vessel to join Silversea's current fleet when it was delivered by Italian shipyard Fincantieri in October 2020. It began regular sailings earlier this month by serving Mediterranean itineraries and will continue do so until November, when it will be relocated to Asia.

Silver Moon is the second in a series of three vessels that each have capacity for 596 guests in 298 all-suite cabins. Amenities include a cafe, a lounge, a bar, and numerous luxury dining options.
