Scottish port awards contract for £30 million quayside expansion

The Port of Cromarty Firth (POCF) in Scotland has awarded civil engineering and construction firm Roadbridge UK a contract to construct a new £30 million (US$38.5 million) energy and cruise hub.

The project will encompass construction of a 218-metre-long quayside with steel piles, construction of a new revetment (retaining wall), and reclamation of 3.64 hectares of land.

Work will commence in January 2019.
