Croatian shipbuilder Brodosplit floated out a new polar expedition cruise vessel on Thursday, March 11.
Slated for Netherlands-based Oceanwide Expeditions, Janssonius will have a length of 108.6 metres, a beam of 17.6 metres, and accommodations for 194 guests and 78 crewmembers once completed. Two 4,260kW main engines will propel the vessel to a speed of 15 knots.
Janssonius is being built according to Lloyd's Register PC6 rules and is scheduled to debut during the 2021-2022 expedition cruise season.
