Norwegian shipbuilder Kleven Verft is set to be acquired from Hurtigruten by Green Yard Group, a local provider of ship recycling services.

In a statement on Tuesday, July 14, Kleven said that Green Yard had reached an agreement with three Norwegian banks, other creditors, and the country's bankruptcy authorities regarding the acquisition of the shipyard, which had filed for bankruptcy two weeks prior.

Green Yard will continue Kleven's existing shipbuilding and ship repair business under the operating name Green Yard Kleven.
