Nichols Brothers Boat Builders (NBBB) launched a new 100-passenger cruise vessel at its shipyard in Freeland, Washington, on September 10.

National Geographic Venture will be used by Lindblad Expeditions for expedition cruising in Coastal California; Baja, California; Alaska; the Pacific Northwest, Costa Rica, Panama, and Belize.

The 72- by 13- by three-metre Jones Act coastal cruise vessel is a purpose-built expedition vessel made for exploring coastal waters, shallow coves, and fast-moving channels rich in wildlife while ensuring passenger comfort.

National Geographic Venture will transfer to NBBB's pier side facility in Langley, Washington, for final outfitting and sea trials, before being delivered to Lindblad in October.
