MSC Cruises' newest ship MSC Bellissima will be christened at Southampton, England on March 2, 2019.

To be built as part of MSC Cruises' €10.5 billion (US$12.9 billion) investment program that includes 12 new ships coming into service over the next 10 years, the 167,600GT MSC Bellissima is one of four new Meraviglia-class vessels.

The first, MSC Meraviglia, entered service in June 2017.

The 315.8-metre by 43-metre MSC Bellissima will offer a voice-enabled digital personal assistant co-developed with Samsung subsidiary Harman International.

It can communicate with guests in seven languages, providing answers to queries and will also learn guests' preferences and behaviours to predict their needs and make relevant suggestions.

The ship has a service speed of 21.8 knots.
