German shipbuilder Meyer Werft has cut the first steel for a new LNG-powered vessel ordered by UK-based P&O Cruises.

Arvia will be a sister to Iona, which was delivered to P&O Cruises in October 2020 and currently serves as the company's flagship.

Like Iona, Arvia will be powered by four LNG dual-fuel engines and will have a gross tonnage of 180,000.
