Fincantieri cuts steel for second Virgin Voyages cruise ship

The steel cutting of the second of three cruise ships that Virgin Voyages has ordered from Fincantieri took place on July 20 at the Sestri Ponente yard.

Virgin Voyages' second ship will have a gross tonnage of 110,000 gross tonnes, be 278 metres long and 38 metres wide.

The vessel will feature over 1,400 guest cabins that can host more than 2,700 passengers, accompanied by 1,150 crew members. 

Delivery is scheduled for 2021.
