US-based river cruise operator AmaWaterways officially named the newest addition to its fleet at a ceremony in Grein, Austria, on Monday, July 15.

Christened AmaMagna, the vessel is twice as wide as traditional river cruise ships but has only a 20 per cent greater capacity to ensure increased personal space for guests. Facilities include 98 staterooms, four restaurants, a cinema, an exercise room, two massage rooms, and a sun deck with heated pool.

AmaMagna sailed on its maiden voyage in May of this year when it took guests along the Danube River from Vilshofen, Germany, to Budapest.
