Meyer Werft handed over the world's first LNG-powered cruise ship to AIDA Cruises in a ceremony in Bremerhaven on Wednesday, December 12.
AIDAnova is also the largest cruise ship ever built in Germany with a GRT of over 183,000 and more than 2,500 cabins.
Two of AIDAnova's sister ships will join the AIDA fleet at the end of 2021 and 2023.
