Germany's AIDA Cruises has commenced an extensive modernisation program wherein three ships in its fleet will be thoroughly upgraded, parent company Carnival Corporation confirmed on Monday, February 19.

AIDAdiva (pictured), AIDAbella, and AIDAluna will be overhauled as part of the first phase of the program. The modifications on each ship will include an increase in the number of suites and other guest areas, a complete re-decoration of all staterooms, and upgrading of technical equipment and systems.

AIDAdiva will be the first ship to be modernised during its six-week dry dock overhaul in the spring of 2025. AIDAbella and AIDAluna will follow in the fall of 2025 and the spring of 2026, respectively.
