UK-based international oilfield service company Expro Group has formed an exclusive alliance with Singapore-based global vessel provider FTAI Ocean, a subsidiary of Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors, for the supply of a well intervention vessel to provide full light well intervention (LWI) services to the subsea oil and gas sector.

Under the exclusive three-year agreement, the new alliance will create a full service offering for the riserless and riser-based well intervention and plugging and abandonment (P&A) markets, providing all marine, ROV, well intervention, wireline, e-line, coilhose, subsea well access, hydraulic intervention, well planning, execution and offshore well management by a single supplier using one contracting entity.

The joint venture will utilise Pride, a DP3-equipped, well intervention and offshore construction vessel operated by FTAI Ocean.
