Abu Dhabi-based Overseas Marine Logistics (OML) has been awarded a contract by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) to provide six self-propelled and self-elevating maintenance, accommodation and crane jack up barges to operate in the NASR Phase II full field development project.

OML units would also be engaged in topside hook-up and commissioning.

Work is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2018.

This contract comes as a continuation of OML's earlier award by HHI as marine contractor and general agency EPC work for the NASR full field development project–package 2.

OML services throughout the course of this contract include provision of ADMA and OPCO-approved marine spreads with logistics support, maintenance works and agency services for the HHI project fleet.

The NASR offshore oil field is about 131 kilometres northwest of Abu Dhabi in the Arabian Gulf.

OML said the newly acquired units were built according to the ADNOC jack up unit integrity management standard (JUIMS) and the latest ADNOC offshore standing instructions.
