Nevsky Shipyard delivers Project MPSV12 salvage vessel

United Shipbuilding Corporation's (USC) Nevsky Shipyard has delivered a new Project MPSV12 multi-purpose salvage and rescue vessel to the Russian Ministry of Transport.

Named Kalas after a river in the Arkhangelsk region, the vessel has a length of 80 metres and a maximum draught deadweight of approximately 1,800 tonnes.

In addition to providing salvage and rescue services, Kalas will also be used for dive support, firefighting, and transport of cargo and personnel.
