Marshall Jakeman Marine survey boat floated out

Published on

A new survey boat being built for UK operator Marshall Jakeman Marine (MJM) was recently launched into the water for the the first time.

MJM Enterprise will be capable of a range of roles including surveys, dive support, and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) support.

The 26.7-metre vessel will have features including a large working deck area with space for two 20-foot containers, various sensor mounting options including a 1.2-metre moonpool for through-hull sensor deployment, and comfortable workstation areas. A passive, anti-roll tank will enhance seakeeping capability, extending the available weather windows.

A shallow draught of only three metres will permit operations in otherwise restrictive inland and near-shore waters. Two Doosan 4V158TIH engines will meanwhile deliver a speed of 10 knots.

The deck equipment will include a five-tonne A-frame, an integrated winch, and a 38-tonne crane ideal for ROV and geotechnical operations.

Facilities will include 19 berths, a galley with seating for 10 people, a client office, and a lounge.
