Five-year contract for Van Gogh buoys UDS

Ultra Deep Solutions (UDS) has entered into a five-year contract for its diving support construction vessel (DSCV) Van Gogh.

Designed in Norway by MT Marin Teknikk, the 111.5-metre LOA Van Gogh with a seven-metre draught has an open back deck of 1,100 square metres.

Accommodating up to 120 personnel, Van Gogh comes with 14,700KW of power and a top speed of 14 knots.

The vessel is equipped with diesel electric, frequency-controlled propulsion, azimuth thrusters, dynamic positioning system and 150-tonne offshore crane (3,000 metre water depth).

It also has two work-class remotely operated underwater vehicles (WROV).

Delivery of the Van Gogh is scheduled between May 1 and June 1, 2018.
