Damen Shipyards Group has been awarded a contract to supply a new multi-purpose tug to Corps van Vletterlieden, a marine services provider operating out of the northern Netherlands port of IJmuiden.

The 10- by four-metre vessel will be used for mooring, supply, crew transfer, and dive support. It will have a bollard pull of four tonnes and a maximum speed of eight knots.

The tug was built at Damen Shipyards Changde in China and is now at Damen's Hardinxveld facilities undergoing final outfitting.

Delivery is scheduled for January 2021.
