The first of an order of three from a Qatari owner, this twin-screw aluminium crew/support boat is a typically versatile, efficient and economical example of the work of this long renowned Singaporean shipbuilder.

Lita Ocean's lengthy list of vessels that have been delivered both locally and globally is testament to its equally long list of happy customers. This is a very impressive vessel.

"The crewboat and its sisters have a highly efficient hull form that delivers efficiency and stability," Yeo Yingda, Managing Director of Lita Ocean, told Baird Maritime. "It also has a well-designed and well-built interior that provides efficient use of space."

Yeo also said that there is an ongoing push towards environmental sustainability and digitalisation in the offshore energy industry, and so shipyards need to continue to innovate and offer attractive solutions to customers. However, shipyards and shipowners are also continuing to grapple with increasing cost pressures even as the world has to deal with escalating geopolitical tensions.

Even so, Yeo said the year 2023 was a busy one for Lita Ocean, as the company was able to deliver vessels of various sizes and complexity to customers in the Middle East, which is known for its harsh operating conditions, as well as locally in Singapore.

"The previous year also saw us adding to our orderbooks with builds lasting well into 2026," added Yeo. "These include three units of high-specification DP2 fast support intervention vessels (FSIVs), which will be progressively launched from the end of 2024."
