The latest offshore vessel charter awards centre on the maintenance vessel segment, particularly in support of clients in Europe and the Americas. Oilfield drilling activities are also picking up off India and in the Middle East.

Esvagt begins three-month O&M charter for Siemens Gamesa in Baltic Sea

Esvagt's service operation vessel (SOV) Esvagt Dana is currently in the Baltic Sea serving an operations and maintenance charter contract for Siemens Gamesa.

The SOV's deployment is in fulfillment of a 95-day agreement with an option of a further three months wherein support will be provided for operations at the Baltic 2 offshore wind farm.

This is Esvagt Dana's second deployment to the Baltic 2 wind farm following an earlier charter from November 2019 to August 2020.

Havila Shipping secures extensions with Total DK for PSV pair

Total's Danish subsidiary Total DK has declared options for three months from June 1, 2021, for Havila Shipping's platform supply vessels (PSVs) Havila Herøy and Havila Fanø.

Total DK has options for a further four one-month extensions each vessel.

Shelf Drilling rigs bag three-year contracts, 10-year extension

Dubai-based Shelf Drilling has received awards for a three-year contracts for the jackup rigs J.T. Angel and Trident XII with India's Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for operations in the Mumbai High oil field. The planned start-up of operations for both rigs is Q4 2021.

Shelf Drilling has also been awarded a ten-year contract extension for the jackup rig High Island IX in direct continuation of its current contract in the Arabian Gulf. The rig will continue working for the same client up until June 2031.

NYK hybrid crewboat to serve 10-year bareboat charter with N-O-S

The 39-metre hybrid crewboat Energizer owned by Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) has been selected to serve a 10-year bareboat charter with Swedish operator Northern Offshore Services (N-O-S).

The vessel is currently under construction and will be delivered during Q3 2021. Upon delivery, it will be operated by N-O-S for work in Northern European waters.

Solstad AHTS tapped by Enauta for work in Brazil's Atlanta field

Solstad Offshore has entered into an agreement with Brazilian energy company Enauta Energia for the anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel Normand Turmalina.

The vessel will be utilised by Enauta to support activities at the Atlanta oil field in the Santos Basin of Brazil for 18 months firm and with an optional two years thereafter.

Commencement of the contract will be before the end of May 2021.
